Grocy PWA
A shared grocery list as a PWA, synced between my phone and my girlfriend's, so we always have the same up-to-date list.
A grocery list on paper or in a chat thread is always behind. One of us buys something, the other doesn't know, and you end up at the checkout with two cartons of milk. It had to be one list that's right for both of us, at any moment.
The app runs on Grocy, hosted on my own home server, and is installed as a PWA on both our phones. When I tick something off in the store, my girlfriend sees it right away. No account with an outside service, and the data simply stays at home.
In the app, you can automatically categorize your shopping list, so you don’t have to walk back and forth through the entire supermarket. In addition, a button is displayed next to each added product that takes you directly to the Albert Heijn website. The specific product is automatically searched for, allowing you to easily see which brands are available and what the current price is.
